Names and Faces

Radiant leaders are committed to demonstrating a servant’s heart to mentor people in discovering and using their God-given gifts, in order to empower and equip others towards spiritual maturity and community impact.

John and Pam VredeveldtJohn & Pam Vredevelt have been serving as pastors for over 30 years.  They’ve been married 34 years and have 2 grown children (and 2 in heaven).  Their passion for the Radiant community is to continually grow in their ability to love God and love others.  John and Pam like to walk and hike, especially in sunny places by the sea.  Their Bucket List includes sky diving, visiting Tuscany and the Greek Islands, and leading thousands to Christ in one setting.

Greg Knopf Greg Knopf desires to see Radiant’s members grow in spiritual formation.  He has developed leadership teams and has led men’s ministries.  He and his wife Bonnie have been traveling and gardening together for 37 years, have three grown children and one grandchild.  Greg can be found on the tennis court and Bonnie composes and records music in her studio.  Visiting the Holy Land and the Canadian Rockies is on their Bucket List.

Don and Gail GundersonDon & Gail Gunstone bring 32 years of teaching, marriage ministry, and leading home groups to Radiant.  They have five kids in their twenties whose names start with T (plus Toby the dog).  They love to be out in God’s creation cycling, hiking and boating.  They hope to see the Northern Lights some day.  Their passion for Radiant is seeing people grow in their faith and getting people connected to each other and to Jesus, especially those who don’t know Him yet!

ELDERS EMERITUS
Laurence and Wendy DunnLaurence & Wendy Dunn have been married 40 years, have four grown children and seven grandchildren who are a big part of their lives. They have been involved with pastoral care for over 30 years, especially in marriage and parenting ministries. Our “Kiwi Couple” enjoy bike riding, travel and the symphony, gardening and model railroads. They love helping people at Radiant reach their potential in God.

Al & Charonne EdensAl & Charonne Edens hosted the original Radiant fellowship in their home, which seems to have a revolving door of hospitality.  During their 43 years of marriage they have served together with youth, marriage ministry, and Bible studies.  They love to share life, especially golf, snowbirding, and exploring their own home town.  The Edens have two grown sons and two grandchildren, (and two granddogs)!  Their leadership role at Radiant is supporting the other elders in clarifying the vision for Radiant and moving into it.

RADIANT KIDS

Kelli Northcraft began her ministry with kids when she owned and operated her own daycare for six years in the 90s. Following that, she worked at Discovery Daycare & Kindergarten for 10 years at East Hill Church, ending her stint there as Head Kindergarten Teacher. In 2011, she earned dual bachelor degrees in Multidisciplinary Studies & Education. She currently works for the SUN program, tutoring children for the Gresham-Barlow School District, as well as serving in children’s ministries at Radiant Church. “Miss Kelli’s” lifetime passion of loving kids and sharing Jesus’ care for them compels her to reach out in a variety of ways, including fostering four teenage girls as ”Mama Kelli,” and loving her many nieces and nephews as ”Aunt Candy!”

Christopher Bates has worked extensively with youth and missions, traveling to Africa, New Zealand and the former Soviet Union.  He and his wife Rocio lead a family home group that has been going for five years.  They have been married 13 years and have five young children (as of August 2012).  They met through theater and still enjoy involvement in performing arts (Rocio is a gifted dancer).  Christopher enjoys writing, flying (on his own and traveling) and helping businesses grow.  He would love to jump out of an airplane someday–with a parachute!  He desires to help others identify their callings and release them as ministry to the community.
